Utility debt

We have a wide range of experience within this sector, and have worked for all the major gas and electric suppliers.  Our services to the utility sector will allow utility companies to contact both residential and commercial customers, and to resolve any unpaid accounts.  We have very good working relationships with the local magistrates courts and local locksmiths.

Pre disconnection visits

We can carry out an initial visit on any live debt account in order to collect an outstanding balance in conjunction with the Utilities Act 2000. This personal approach allows us to maximise revenue on behalf of our client, whilst also giving them an accurate basis on which to decide on their next course of action.

Warrant Application & Enforcement

If we are unable to remedy the situation with a 'Pre Disconnection Visit', then we can obtain and execute a Rights of Entry Warrant. We will make a final attempt to collect the balance due (including charges); failing this, a Pre-Payment Meter will be installed or the supply will be de-energised or disconnected dependant on the client requirements. Details of our actions are then reported back to our client.

Void and Vacant Properties

We can make personal visits to discover the current status of suspected unoccupied properties.  The outcome of the visit is passed back to clients for a decision on further action as appropriate; If required a ‘Fast Track’ approach can be used for Warrant action.

Prepayment meter investigations

We can carry out visits on behalf of major gas and electric suppliers to check and inspect pre-payment meters, and carry out account investigations especially where there is a non-registering pre-payment meter on residential properties.

Site visits

We are able to carry out site visits where a supplier requires verification of information and details given by the customer.  Site visits can also cover dispute resolution where the supplier believes that a personal visit is required.

Theft of gas/electricity investigations

We can make visits on behalf of all gas and electricity suppliers where theft, or suspected theft investigations are required. The counsellor may in the course of his duties liaise with the respective Revenue Protection Department of the client and in a number of cases the Police.
