Field agent services

A sensitive approach is often required when collecting monies from customers, therefore our debt recovery field agents are specially trained to deal face to face with debtors, and so we offer a home collection service to recover any outstanding debt. In addition to being an integral part of our collection process, we retain clients that specifically use us for our home collection service alone.

Our doorstep collectors and field agents are local people, with local knowledge, and are highly trained in all aspects of face-to-face debt collection, particularly negotiation skills. They are all smartly dressed and carry official identification, with photograph, at all times, and a letter of authority from our clients. They abide by the strictest of Codes of Conduct, including the OFT debt collection guidance,  and sign a formal agreement to that effect. All collectors are tightly monitored and controlled, and subject to regular audits of their workload. All collectors will have available to them, a copy of the original invoice, and a letter of authority from the clients. Each of our collection agents have passed a CRB or similar check.

Each collector will be able to discuss with each debtor the best way of repaying the money owed. They are able to take payments by various means, and will setup arrangements over a time span which has been agreed with our clients. If this time span cannot be met, a means form will need to be completed so we can speak to our clients, and agree a repayment schedule on the debtor’s behalf.

Today, the courts will expect a creditor to have taken all possible steps to recover any money owed, and our doorstep collection service covers this.  This is by no means to be considered as a last resort. The reports returned by our doorstep collectors, can be used in court to prove evidence that every reasonable step has been taken to recover the money owed.
